What is a Pacesetter?
Pacesetters are companies and organizations that conduct successful United Way campaigns early to "set the pace" for the community campaign. To participate, organizations agree to meet specific Pacesetter criteria and report their campaign results by August 24, 2007. Pacesetters demonstrate extraordinary community leadership, and by participating, they are eligible for additional recognition.
Benefits
Companies and organizations complete their best practice campaign by August 24 will be:
- Eligible for Pacesetter award recognition
- Featured on United Way of Northeast Florida's website
- Listed in United Way of Northeast Florida's quarterly e-newsletter
- Recognized at Kickoff event on September 6, 2007
- Provided enhanced United Way staff support for workplace campaigns in advance of the traditional fall timeline.
- Customized training
- Featured in our Leaders in Giving book
Criteria
To be acknowledged as a Pacesetter, organizations agree to the following criteria:
- Set a goal to increase the organization's campaign performance over 2006
- Report results to United Way by August 24, 2007
- Commit to conducting a model campaign and incorporating appropriate United Way best practices
