It is our pleasure to invite you to be a member of United Way of Northeast Florida's
WILL - Women in Local Leadership. Women in Local Leadership was founded by a group of corporate, civic and community leaders who are working together to improve the quality of life for families and children in the northeast Florida region, through leadership, philanthropy and advocacy.
WILL expands women's ability to be a strong voice and achieve results in the non-profit arena by maximizing the number of women pooling their time, talent and financial resources toward specific goals. Working together, women can shine light on critical social service issues and bring to the forefront the positive impact that women can have on a community. Women in Local Leadership recognizes and applauds the talents of women. They embody the delicate balance of strength and compassion, fight for their beliefs and are strong collaborators who know how to get things done.
In order to join Women in Local Leadership (WILL) women are asked to pledge a leadership gift to United Way.
During the year, Women in Local Leadership plans several activities that offer women a variety of ways to make a difference. There are opportunities to meet other women leaders, learn about the community's needs and to make an impact through a variety of community service projects relating to early childhood development and Success by Six initiatives.
Women in Local Leadership was modeled after a number of successful women's initiatives in United Way's in other major cities across the nation.
