Vision of Empowering Effective Teachers (ETT)
Build public and political will to ensure that every student benefits from an effective teacher in every subject, every year.
What is Empowering Effective Teachers?
Teacher effectiveness is the single most important in-school factor affecting academic performance. Studies show that students with the most effective teachers learn up to an entire grade level more than students with the least effective teachers, annually. In three years, average students with high performing teachers score in the 90th percentile on student achievement tests. Similar students with three years of
low-performing teachers score in the 37th percentile.
