Early Childhood
Born Learning

Understanding that what happens in a child’s earliest days and years has enormous influence on their lives—on their personal relationships, their ability to work with others, and their understanding of the world - the Born Learning program engages parents, grandparents, and other caregivers to explore creative ways to turn everyday moments into fun learning opportunities. Born Learning workshops are offered at convenient locations throughout our community. Workshops are free, interactive, and take only 45 minutes. Workshop topics include: Ages & Stages, Dads are Different, Playing the Games, and Learning on the Go. And by popular demand, coming soon is the workshop, Effective Discipline.

Since its beginnings 3,347 parents and caregivers have attended. Workshop participants have overwhelmingly stated that the sessions have been useful and will improve their daily parenting techniques and activities. Further, the workshops have a multiplier effect, as participants share the information and resources they receive through Born Learning with others, for a total impact of over 6,600 lives touched since 2006.
