PricewaterhouseCoopers Volunteer Event (June 17, 2009) - PricewaterhouseCoopers volunteers spent the day at Community Connection’s A.L. Lewis Center with summer campers. Volunteers conducted interactive classes on finance and money in addition to engaging with the youth in field day-type activities.
BCBS volunteer at Youth Crisis Center (March 27, 2009) - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida volunteers helped paint the inside dormitory of Youth Crisis Center’s new Touchstone Village.
Volunteer Athletes Live United (VALU) Program event (March 14, 2009) - The Stanton Soccer Team hosted a free soccer clinic for members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. The youth learned basic skills of soccer and played a game with the high school athletes. This was the first event of United Way’s VALU (Volunteer Athletes Live United) Program.
